Determine the right tyre pressure for your car |
|
It is very important for safe motoring to ensure that your tyres are always properly maintained.
- Too little tyre pressure immediately causes reduced stability, increased wear and higher fuel consumption.
- Where the tyre pressure is much too low, the tyres can even overheat and become irreparably damaged. This can lead to dangerous driving situations.
- Too much tyre pressure also causes increased wear.
- Your tyre pressure needs to be checked at least once every two weeks, and also before long journeys.
- Don't forget to check the spare tyre.
- Only check when your tyres are cold; that is, after driving no more than 3 kilometres.
- Never reduce the pressure when the tyres are warm.
